Beer Me

The onramp onto 71 south from I-265 in Louisville is always tricky, even in the best of conditions. One false move and you’re seconds from disaster. Yesterday morning was one of those days sadly for a forlorn trick driver. Seems he took the turn a bit too anxiously which then clearly upset his sudsy payload. Momentum took over from there and the 18 wheeler was forced onto its side flank. Rambled, thousands upon thousands of Bud Light cans burst through the trailer’s roof and spilled onto the nearby grass. There is fierce debate among beer connoisseurs whether anything really of value was lost in the calamity; some claiming a net gain to humanity. The driver popped out of the cab with only injured dignity. Let this be a lesson for us all when negotiating this (or any) interchange: Safety is NO Accident! Safety is always sexy.
